Family Dynamics
At different points in life, we all face challenges that can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of our next steps. Some struggles are internal, like anxiety, depression, or intense emotional experiences. Others show up in your relationships with partners, family, or the people around you. Some of these challenges are shaped by temperament itself, such as being highly sensitive, deeply reflective, or easily overstimulated by the world.

I work with motivated, insight-oriented adults who are ready to understand themselves at a deeper level and create lasting change. My approach is highly personalized and holistic, exploring not just symptoms but the underlying patterns and experiences that shape how you live, relate, and thrive.

Below are the areas I specialize in. Each reflects common challenges and opportunities for growth that many thoughtful, self-aware adults, including Highly Sensitive Persons, bring to therapy.

Highly Sensitive Persons (HSP)

Being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) comes with unique gifts and challenges. Your depth of processing, attentiveness to subtle details, and appreciation for beauty, art, and nature provide richness and meaning to your life. At the same time, this sensitivity can make you prone to sensory overload, emotional overwhelm, and the fatigue of managing competing priorities. You may feel misunderstood, unseen, or underappreciated in your relationships or at work.

I help HSPs navigate these challenges while embracing their inherent strengths. In therapy, we focus on understanding how your nervous system and temperament interact with the world, identifying patterns that contribute to overwhelm, and developing strategies that allow you to thrive without sacrificing your sensitivity. This work supports greater self-understanding, healthier boundaries, and a life lived authentically in alignment with your unique nature.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression, while different experiences, can both create profound emotional distress and impact many areas of life. I often work with people who have struggled for years, feeling frustrated that symptoms keep returning despite their efforts.

While coping tools and strategies are important, lasting change usually comes from exploring the deeper patterns that maintain anxiety or depression. Many people aren’t fully aware of underlying factors such as past experiences, relational dynamics, or habitual thinking patterns that contribute to persistent symptoms.
In therapy, we take a holistic perspective. We examine the roots of your anxiety or depression, uncover the patterns that keep you stuck, and identify the changes that will allow you to move forward. This work helps build resilience, increase self-awareness, and create a life that feels balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

Love & Relationships

Romantic relationships, whether new or long-term, can be both deeply rewarding and surprisingly complicated. Perhaps you’re feeling frustrated by repeated mismatches, struggling to attract the types of people you truly want, or navigating challenges in a current relationship that feels stuck or misaligned.

Many relationship difficulties stem from patterns, misunderstandings, or evolving goals.
It’s essential to understand the true dynamics at play in order to move toward solutions that feel right for both partners.

In therapy, we focus on understanding both yourself and others, while developing strategies for communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. This approach helps you build relationships that are equitable, mutually fulfilling, and capable of growing toward a shared vision for the future. The goal is to cultivate connections where you feel seen, respected, and free to be your authentic self.

Family Dynamics

Family relationships can be some of the most meaningful and most complicated parts of our lives. You may be navigating conflict, distance, or long-standing roles that no longer fit who you are. Perhaps you’re an adult child of an emotionally immature parent, or you recognize patterns that have continued to affect your self-worth, boundaries, and relationships.

Often, these dynamics began in your earliest relationships and experiences, shaping how you relate to yourself and others in ways you may not even be aware of.

In therapy, we explore these patterns with care,
helping you set clearer boundaries, prioritize your needs, and examine inherited beliefs or roles that no longer serve you. This work supports stronger self-trust, healthier relationships, and the freedom to live more authentically and intentionally.

If any of these areas resonate with you, you are not alone. Therapy is a collaborative process where we can explore your challenges, uncover patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help determine whether we’re a good fit and discuss next steps.

Take the first step toward living more authentically, building healthier relationships, and creating a life aligned with your deepest values.
